Days of Our Lives spoilers find that it has been one year for Kristian Alfonso…since the actress has been on the Days of Our Lives set.

“I can’t believe my one-year anniversary of not shooting Days of Our Lives is this month,” – Alfonso lamented.

However, fans should be warned, she does not anticipate going back.

Alison Sweeney, Alfonso’s co-star on both DOOL and a soon to be released Hallmark movie– Chronicle Mysteries: Helped to Death told Soap Opera Digest that Alfonso is greatly missed on the Days set.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Kristian Alfonso (ex-Hope Brady) acknowledges a sad anniversary this month.

Though she is not a series regular anymore, Sweeney has been on and off the DOOL set since filming resumed after the pandemic hiatus and her character, Sami Brady will soon be back in Salem and on our screens- just in time for sweeps.

Due to COVID-19 precautions the cast isn’t allowed to mingle like they used to. Said Sweeney, “It does feel lonely and I miss Kristian even more during those times. I feel that Kristen was the welcoming committee. There’s a spot missing now.” Sweeney also admitted to missing the snacks Alfonso would often provide, especially Girl Scout cookies.

Another character who has returned, but not permanently to our Days screens is Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal), Hope’s daughter. While fans hoped that Ciara’s return would signal Hope’s, Alfonso’s year long absence from the set proves that she has stuck to her word and will not be back anytime soon, if at all.

Kristian Alfonso fans needn’t be completely disillusioned, however. They will be able to catch Sweeney and Alfonso together again in their Hallmark movie next Sunday, February 21.

Helped to Death is the fifth Chronicle Mystery, starring Sweeney as Alex McPherson, a newspaper (The Chronicle) editor who investigates and solves cold murder cases on the side for her podcast. In this mystery she and partner Drew (Benjamin Ayres) investigate a self help retreat, the controversial life coach who oversees it and more than one death! Alfonso plays a local sheriff.

Both Sweeney and Alfonso looked to have had fun while filing in Vancouver, even with the rain, posting several on set shots on their social media
